By reading these pages you are using this website, and these terms describe that use. They apply to the pages on this domain and to nothing else.

They are not the terms of any account. Whatever agreement covers an account you hold is separate, sits elsewhere, and is unaffected by anything written here. Where this site describes how something usually works, the account’s own documentation and the reply you receive from the team describe how it actually works for you.

Information, not advice

These pages are general reference material, written to be useful to most readers most of the time. They are not financial advice, not legal advice and not medical advice, and they cannot take account of your particular circumstances.

Where a page describes a process — a document request, a control, a payment enquiry — it describes the general shape of it. The specific answer for a specific account comes from writing in and receiving a reply, and a reply that contradicts a page here is the one that applies to your situation.

Availability and accuracy

The site is provided as it is. Pages are kept current as carefully as the team can manage, but they may be incomplete, out of date, or wrong about a detail that has changed since they were written. If you find something wrong, telling us is the fastest way to have it corrected.
